The Battlefield franchise is back with a mainline entry after a gap of nearly three years. Battlefield 2042 moves the action to the near-future with perhaps the biggest Battlefield game ever made, and you can experience the action via early access right now, a week before a wider launch.
Battlefield 2042 will launch on November 19 with three distinct modes to play through. The first one is All-out Warfare, and this will be the base Battlefield experience spread across humongous maps. Next, and perhaps the most interesting one, is Portal, a game mode where you can relive older Battlefield maps all the way from Battlefield 1942. Developer DICE is handing over the keys of Portal to the community, which means we could have a limitless amount of user-generated content coming our way.
The final mode – Hazard Zone – is a mix of battle royale and Escape from Tarkov-eque survival elements. You and your team must head into the Hazard Zone to hunt for data drives while other teams do the same. Eliminate the competition, collect the drive, and extract to win.
