November is shaping up to be the most exciting month of 2021, with competitive shooters, remakes of iconic games, and a return to form for the arcade racing genre. Which one will you be getting?
Call of Duty: Vanguard – November 5
This year’s Call of Duty goes back to World War II with a high-octane campaign that puts players into the boots of the very first task force assembled. Apart from the campaign, there’s a massive multiplayer offering with around 20 maps, as well as a four-player co-operative zombie mode that offers a ton of replay value. And Vanguard’s first season – with even more content – is expected in December.
Forza Horizon 5 – November 9
High-quality arcade racers have been few and far between of late, but the wait is over. Forza Horizon 5 offers a gorgeous open-world that drops players into the most beautiful digital rendition of Mexico till date, and hundreds of the world’s best cars to tear through it. Besides a never-ending amount of single player content, Forza Horizon 5 ships with a bevy of both co-operative and versus game modes.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 – November 9
Released in 2018, Jurassic World Evolution was an RTS game that allowed players to create and manage their very own dinosaur-themed park. The sequel takes place after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (the movie) and will introduce a new campaign with new gameplay features as you manage a roster of over 75 different prehistoric species.
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition – November 11
GTA III was the game that kickstarted the open-world trend for gaming and it blew our collective minds when it came out in 2001. After GTA III, Rockstar kept on building momentum with Vice City and San Andreas, and if you never experienced these titles back in the day, you can now do so with upgraded visuals and improved gameplay mechanics in the GTA trilogy.
Battlefield 2042 – November 19
Experience all out futuristic warfare in what developer DICE claims to be the biggest Battlefield game till date. And if the All-Out Warfare mode doesn’t sound appealing to you, how about the thought of playing all your favourite Battlefield maps all the way from Battlefield 1942 to Battlefield 1 in Battlefield Portal – a mode full of user-generated content that’ll be available at launch.
Evil Genius 2: World Domination – November 30
Evil Genius was a base building game inspired by old spy movies, in which you played as a scheming villain who’s only goal was world domination – as it should be. The sequel, which has come out after 17 years, picks up from where the first game left off, with players indulging in even more evil shenanigans – from building dastardly lairs to training an army of evil minions. The good guys don’t stand a chance.
